Drug crime: Alleged drug dealer uses victim's phone to make deal

A drug dealer allegedly sold heroin laced with fentanyl to a woman who overdosed on the drug. The same man was apparently caught trying to set up another drug deal with the deceased woman's cell phone. The alleged pusher, who hails from Brooklyn, was part of a massive New York drug bust in a police sting operation last year in an effort to thwart drug crime.

Drug crime plentiful in New York City; hub of drug trade

Drug trafficking threatens the security of the United States, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). New York City, authorities say, is the apex of drug crime in the nation, thanks to the city housing a number of illegal aliens who play a large part in the drug problem. In fact, statistics show that non-natives of the United States make up at least 60 percent of drug-related arrests in New York City. 

6 New York residents arrested on drug crime charges

A recent raid on a Long Island home resulted in the arrests of six people. Police seized a number of drugs, including cocaine and $60,000 in cash. Police had four search warrants to try to nab the suspects in connection with the alleged New York drug crime. The arrests came after a lengthy narcotics investigation. 

New York marijuana drug ring nipped in the bud: 10 arrested

Ten people are facing charges over a million-dollar drug ring. The drug charges stem from a ring allegedly operating out of the Bronx. Police said the suspects had been under surveillance during the time they allegedly sold more than 6,500 pounds of marijuana with a street value of about $22 million. The time frame, cops said, was between March 2016 to October 2017.

17 arrests made in large New York drug crime scene

Seventeen people were arrested on drug charges for operating a drug ring that transported heroin and cocaine on airplanes from a western state to New York. According to prosecutors, the drug crime pumped the drugs through Kennedy International Airport. From there, drugs went to major dealers not only in New York but also to other major cities in the United States.

New York brothers facing drug possession charges

Two New York brothers are facing a number of charges after police recently stopped their vehicle for running a red light. The men, ages 29 and 32, have been charged with drug possession and a number of other felonies after police searched their vehicle and found pills and marijuana on board. Police said they made the search after talking with the pair and finding their behavior suspicious.

2 arrested in New York for designer drug crime

A man and a woman are facing federal charges for allegedly trying to sell designer drugs, including synthetic opioid apparently much stronger than morphine. The drug charges culminated from an investigation that included a raid on a high-end condominium in Long Island City.  Law enforcement authorities believed a synthetic drug lab was being operated out of the New York City waterfront apartment complex. At the same time, another raid was taking place in an adjacent state near the home of the woman also facing drug crime charges.

New York state resident slapped with drug paraphernalia charge

A 21-year-old man is facing numerous charges after a recent traffic stop on an interstate highway in Allegany County. Police say the New York state resident was allegedly operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs when stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation. During the investigation, drug paraphernalia was apparently found in the vehicle along with brass knuckles – illegal in New York state. According to the Sheriff's office, the suspect was stopped by the STOP DWI Unit.

Buying or selling drugs in the state of New York is never a wise decision. Penalties for a drug crime can range from fines and/or probation to significant time in prison if someone is convicted. Recently, six men from Brooklyn and Queen were arrested on charges of heroin trafficking following an investigation that last over two years.

Arrests made in alleged drug trafficking ring

Officials in New York have recently reported the arrests of several people for a variety of alleged drug charges. The charges stem from an investigation of a reported overdose death nine months ago. According to authorities, the probe resulted in the discovery of a supposed trafficking ring involving several narcotics.
