2 face charges in the death of a 20-year-old deli worker

| Feb 27, 2020 | Drug Charges |

Small arguments can sometimes lead to real horror stories for individuals caught in the wrong situation. What might be a normal conversation that leaves someone dissatisfied could turn into a fight when drugs, alcohol or other substances are involved.

Take, for example, this case out of the Bronx where a local clerk tried to fend off an attack with a broomstick before being murdered by gunshot. According to the story, the situation started when a woman walked into a deli asking to buy a loose cigarette. The man inside, later the victim, stated that he couldn’t sell “loosies.” The woman left but said she’d be back, it’s claimed.

Later, she returned to the deli with her brother. The three got into an argument, which ended with the gunshot that killed the 20-year-old clerk. The sister and brother pair ran from the deli but were stopped by the police when they arrived at the scene.

Though the woman is accused of starting the fight, she does not face murder changes. Instead, she was cuffed for drug possession after the police stated that they found a crack pipe with residue on it in her possession. Her brother does face charges for the murder.

Cases like this are important to look at, especially if you’re involved in a murder or accused of criminal actions. It’s vital that you only face the charges that apply to your case, even if you’re present when other crimes happen. Your attorney will take steps to make sure you face only fair charges if you’re accused of a crime.
