New York man found guilty of fatal robbery years after the fact

A now 36-year-old man has been sentenced to 25 years incarceration for a home invasion in 2007 when he was just 24 years old. The New York robbery resulted in the killing of a 39-year-old Harlem man. Apparently, the now-convicted man -- who was a known drug dealer at the time and linked to a Queen's drug ring -- believed the man had a stash in his apartment. He was not acting alone at the time.

Drug crime charges filed against Dayton residents

Two residents in the village of Dayton have come under fire after being accused of taking part in illicit drug sales, according to the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force. New York State Police have worked in conjunction with the task force to file drug crime charges against a man and a woman. Several other arrests are apparently pending as further search warrants are being approved as part of the ongoing investigation. 

3 New York men charged with robbery, kidnapping

Three men have to answer for their alleged part in what is being called a $2 million crime. The New York residents are facing charges of robbery and kidnapping in connection with cryptocurrency. The accused are all said to be members of a Bronx biker gang and are accused of kidnapping a friend and allegedly stealing nearly $2 million in cryptocurrency from him.

Harvey Weinstein indicted on rape charge by New York Grand Jury

Harvey Weinstein, the former Hollywood producer who recently fell from grace amid allegations of sexual impropriety, has been indicted by a grand jury sitting in New York City. Weinstein has been accused of rape and of committing a criminal sexual act in the first degree. Dozens of women have alleged that he sexually assaulted them. The allegations span decades.

Reports of rape in New York City increase; is #MeToo the reason?

Women are becoming more vocal when it comes to reporting alleged sex crimes. In fact, between May 2017 and May 2018, the number of rape allegations reported to the New York Police department almost doubled. Some are speculating those numbers have to do with the #MeToo movement.
