Man breaks into Taylor Swift's apartment, charged with burglary

Breaking in is hard to do. That may be the reason why the man who allegedly entered Taylor Swift's Manhattan apartment supposedly took a shower before falling asleep. The New York Police Department responded to the call just after noon on April 20. They arrested a 22-year-old male while conducting the burglary investigation.

12 New York residents arrested for major drug crime

A dozen members of a faction of the well-known Bloods gang were arrested in connection with a recent drug bust. The 12 are apparently members of the Mac Baller Brims and are facing drug charges for allegedly peddling heroin and crack cocaine in the Bronx, a Brooklyn housing project and a northeastern state. Police say a 32-year-old high-ranking member led the drug crime operation in East New York's Pink Houses, buying from a 45-year-old man who dealt drugs in the Bronx.

New York cops seize luxury car amid drug crime charges

Among the items seized by the New York Police Department in a recent drug bust was a Lamborghini. The luxury car was accompanied by the additional seizure of $600,000 that cops say are the fruits of drug crime. The investigation into two deaths caused by overdoses of the illicit drug, fentanyl, culminated in the arrests of four New York City men. Authorities also say they confiscated about 20 pounds of drugs.

Former United Nations worker convicted of robbery

A former worker at the United Nations will be spending time behind bars. The man has been sentenced two years after a plea agreement with the court, but will likely be released in six months. The 53-year-old resident pleaded guilty to one count of robbery in the third degree, one count of attempted robbery in the second degree and two counts of grand larceny -- all offenses considered to be nonviolent. The prosecutor was asking for a five-year sentence.

Man faces drug crime charges in New York

A man believed to be responsible for flooding the New York area with the dangerous drug fentanyl has been arrested, according to local sources. New York authorities closed in on the Mexican native after he was fingered by an undercover agent who says the man imported some 44 pounds of fentanyl into the area. The sentence for drug crime charges of this severity could see the man in prison for years if he is found guilty.
