SERVING NEW YORK WITH INTEGRITY & COMMITMENT

New York man, woman arrested for drug crime

Although drug crime is common in the state of New York, as well as surrounding areas, such as Connecticut, police are doing their best to fight against this.

Recently, a New York man and woman were arrested without incident by police on drug charges. According to police, a 30-year-old man was charged with illegal possession near a school and possession of narcotics. The 26-year-old woman was charged with illegal possession near a school, possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and improper signal for a turn.

The police report notes that the vehicle being driven by the woman, with the man as a passenger, was pulled over at approximately 2 a.m. It was at that time that officers realized that the pair was nervous. From there, the Norwalk police canine was called to the scene, at which time he alerted officers of an odor. Upon searching the vehicle, a marijuana grinder, with residue, and crack cocaine was found.

Both the man and the woman were issued a $2,500 bond with a court date set for June 18.

This story shows that people often make the mistake of getting mixed up in drug crime. While this does not make it any better, just because somebody is arrested on drug related charges does not mean they are a bad person. In fact, this is the wake up call that many people need to get their life back on track. Once they realize that they made a mistake, they can make things right with the court and move on with the rest of their life.
